This year, Agudin and Musique des Lumières will present a new version of Viktor Ullmann’s masterpiece. This recording aims to introduce some solutions to the editorial challenges that the Kaiser presents. The deep revision of the score, both in terms of libretto, movements-sequence and instrumehtation, was carefully carried by Lisandro Abadie, Pablo Kornfeld and Facundo Agudin – and they particularly wish to acknowledge the generous cooperation of the Sacher Foundation Basel. The new CD, to appear at Doron Music, introduces soloists Pierre-Yves Pruvot, Wassyl Slipak, Anna Wall, Sébastien Obrecht and Natalie Pérez.
